Timeless

As a child, I go to Cape Cod often for family vacations.  Back then it is all about miniature golf, the swimming pool at the motel, how much fudge I can eat, and what I can buy at the souvenir shops.  I have such fond memories of these times.

Years go by and I do not go to the Cape due to distance and a desire to see other places in the world.  But a few years ago, I am living back in the area and I decide to revisit for old time’s sake.  What happens is I fall in love all over again.  But not for the same reasons as when I was a child.  This time, it is all about the never ending beaches, expansive skies, the ocean waves, the towering sand dunes, the birds, and vast tidal marshes.

I continue to return as often as I can, always with my camera, to capture the natural beauty that exists in such abundance there.  On my most recent trip, the colors are soft and the light magical.  Peach skies and turquoise waters give a vintage and nostalgic feel, and it takes me right back to my childhood.  While I may have changed in all these years, Cape Cod remains timeless.
